Neurodiversity in the Workplace

Worried about getting 'neurodiversity' wrong

You’re worried your workplace culture isn’t as inclusive as it could be. You want all employees to thrive. But you feel like you don’t know enough about neurodiversity in the workplace and neurodivergent differences.

You know that sometimes there’s a lack of awareness which can lead to misunderstandings, or worse.

What is neurodiversity?

Neurodiversity is everyone. We all think differently. If we recognise the value in the different ways that people work best – we drive innovation, productivity, employee satisfaction, recruit and maintain great talent whilst also meeting our moral, ethical and legal responsibilities.

Those who are ‘neurodivergent’ may be autistic, dyslexic, dyspraxic or have ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) amongst other diagnosis. Their brains work differently from a ‘neurotypical’ brain.

It is estimated that 1 in 7 people, more than 15% of the UK population, is neurodivergent.

How would you feel, knowing that your team were able to effectively support neurodiverse individuals in all situations?

How empowered would you and your teams be, to have the knowledge and confidence to not only support, but also enable neurodiverse individuals to thrive using strategies that have been proven to work? Person centric and respectful, not just using old data extracted from text books.
